A direct line to qualified homeowner leads, exclusive trade pricing, and hands-on training. Built for plumbers, heating engineers, and renovation specialists fitting ThermaSkirt in real homes.

More jobs. Better support.

ThermaSkirt is the UK's leading skirting board heating system. Demand from homeowners is steady and growing, and we pass those enquiries directly to the installers we trust.

As you grow with us, you progress from Registered Installer to Accredited Installer (after a hands-on training day) and Professional Installer (after ten completed installations), unlocking deeper marketing support and priority leads at each step.

We find the jobs. You do the work.

As a manufacturer, every homeowner enquiry we get needs a qualified installer to survey and fit.

We invest year-round in marketing ThermaSkirt direct to homeowners across TV, print, and digital. Those enquiries come to us pre-educated, often with a material estimate already prepared by our team. We pass them on to the installers in our network. Installers don't pay per lead, and work is distributed based on location, quality of previous work, and customer service record.

How it works

1

Homeowner requests a quote

The homeowner submits their room dimensions, heat source details, and project timeline via the 'Get a Quote' form on discreteheat.com.

2

DiscreteHeat pre-qualifies the job

Our technical team reviews the project to confirm ThermaSkirt is the right fit and prepares a baseline material estimate, so the homeowner has realistic expectations going in.

3

The lead is passed to you

If the job falls in your area, the qualified lead lands directly in your inbox. From there you contact the homeowner to arrange a survey and quote the labour and materials.

Frequently Asked Questions

Programme FAQs

Is there a cost to join the network?
No. Registration is completely free for qualified professionals. We just ask that you maintain a high standard of work and customer service.
How much prior ThermaSkirt experience do I need?
None. That's what the training day covers. The product is designed to be straightforward, and around 70% of our domestic customers self-install using our guides. As a qualified tradesperson you'll pick it up quickly. The system uses push-fit connections and a simple bracket-and-click mounting method.
Do I need different qualifications for wet and electric systems?
Yes. For wet (H2O) systems connecting to boilers, you'll need Gas Safe registration or relevant plumbing qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3). For ThermaSkirt-e (electric), installation must be carried out by a competent electrician to BS 7671. Heat pump qualifications are relevant if you're connecting to ASHP or GSHP systems. The skirting itself involves no gas or electrical work, only the supply side does.
How do you vet Registered Installers?
We ask for copies of relevant trade qualifications and proof of valid public liability insurance before accepting installers onto the programme. To move up to Accredited Installer you'll then complete a hands-on training day at our Manchester facility.
Are leads sold to multiple installers?
No. Unlike lead-generation websites, we don't sell the same lead to several installers. Each homeowner enquiry is passed to a single installer in their area, because we want you to win the work, not fight over it.
How are territories assigned?
Territories are based on your primary operating postcode and typical travel radius. We limit the number of installers per region so you get a healthy volume of leads rather than diluting them among too many fitters.
Can I selectively reject leads?
Yes. You'll see the brief before deciding to take the job. We do ask that you respond promptly, as consistently declining leads or slow communication with homeowners will affect future referrals.
Can I supply ThermaSkirt VAT-free with a heat pump installation?
Often, yes. When ThermaSkirt is supplied and fitted as part of a qualifying heat pump installation, it can fall under the zero-rate VAT relief for energy-saving materials, a 20% saving for your customer as part of the renewables package. The relief depends on the specifics of the job, so confirm eligibility for each project.
