Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person's liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.
The DiscreteHeat Company Limited has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains, consistent with our obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Our supply chains have been assessed for risk as part of our wider supplier approval process. We consider our exposure to the risk of slavery and human trafficking to be relatively low. However, we have taken steps to ensure that such practices do not take place in our business or in our supply chains.
To ensure that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business, we have put in place the following:
We require all suppliers to comply with our responsible sourcing principles, including compliance with minimum wage legislation. Training is provided to colleagues and required from business partners to ensure awareness of modern slavery risks.
We have designated a Slavery Compliance Officer to address all modern slavery concerns and ensure ongoing compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
