Installation Network

Expertly fitted, nationwide.

While ThermaSkirt is designed to be fitted by any competent plumber or heating engineer, we maintain a vast UK network of Registered Installers who have completed our dedicated factory training. Find a local expert who knows the system inside out.

The Registered Installer Network

ThermaSkirt is fundamentally standard plumbing combined with basic joinery. Any competent heating engineer or experienced general plumber can install it perfectly using our comprehensive manuals. However, many homeowners prefer the peace of mind that comes with hiring a tradesperson who has specifically trained with the product at our manufacturing facility.

Why Choose a Registered Installer?

  • Factory Trained

They have attended hands-on technical training at our Manchester headquarters, mastering the nuances of cutting the aluminium extrusions and fitting the patented connection joints rapidly.

  • Faster Installation

Because they are highly familiar with the product, Registered Installers work faster and more efficiently, meaning less disruption to your home and often lower overall labor bills.

  • Direct Support Line

Registered trade partners have direct priority access to our technical design team on-site, ensuring any complex plumbing routing issues are solved instantly.

Get matched with a local installer

We qualify every project before referring one of our Registered Installers, so they arrive with the full technical details needed to quote accurately and start promptly. To be matched with a trained professional in your area, the first step is to request a ThermaSkirt design and quote from our team.

Using Your Own Trades

Working With Your Existing Plumber

If you are managing an extension or a new build, your main contractor will almost certainly prefer to use their own trusted plumbing sub-contractors. This is completely fine and very common.

ThermaSkirt is engineered specifically to be installed on-site using standard 15mm copper or 10mm plastic pipe drops and standard compression fittings. We provide detailed, step-by-step printed installation manuals with every kit delivered.

Furthermore, your plumber can call our dedicated technical support line at any point during your installation for immediate guidance from the engineers who designed the system. They do not need to be 'registered' to buy or install ThermaSkirt.

Confident DIYer?

Install It Yourself

Many of our customers are confident DIYers who take on ThermaSkirt themselves. The system uses standard 15mm plumbing connections and basic joinery techniques, so if you are comfortable with pipework and a mitre saw, it is well within reach.

Every kit ships with comprehensive step-by-step installation manuals, and our technical support team is available by phone throughout your project to answer any questions as they arise.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know

Does DiscreteHeat install the system directly?
No. DiscreteHeat is the manufacturer and supplier. We handle the design, heat loss calculations, and manufacture of your specific kit. We then ship the materials directly to your site for your plumber (or our recommended installer) to fit.
How do you vet the Registered Installers?
We ask all prospective installers for copies of their relevant trade qualifications and proof of valid public liability insurance before they are accepted onto the programme. They must then successfully complete our hands-on technical training at our Manchester facility.
Who is responsible for the warranty?
DiscreteHeat provides a 10-year warranty covering all wet system parts and any manufacturing defects. The labour warranty, covering all installation elements, finishing details, and system performance, sits with the installer, the same as it would with a standard radiator installation. This is why we always recommend using a trained professional.
Who can fit it?
DiscreteHeat have a growing list of authorised installers; call us to find one near you. Otherwise, a competent plumber or joiner can install. Boilers and gas heating equipment need a Gas Safe registered installer; pipework and radiators don't.
Do you offer supply-and-fit packages?
We primarily manufacture and supply kits directly to homeowners or the trade. We don't employ in-house fitters, but we maintain a national network of Registered Installers whom we can introduce you to for the labour portion of the quote.
How long does installation take?
A typical room can be completed in half a day by a qualified installer, or a day by most DIYers. A full house install usually takes 2–3 days depending on the number of rooms.
