AVS ESTATES, a provider of pre-school care in Germany, recently opened its first nursery 'Giant Leap Childcare and Learning Centre' in Burnley, Lancashire. To accommodate the operation, a local building (Coal Clough House) had to undergo extensive refurbishment and extension.
Safe and efficient heating at the Nursery was a major issue for the operator, according to managing director Dr. Domenica Hume: "We wanted Giant Leap Nursery to be a home from home for our children and we have paid particular attention to all the little details that can make such a difference to a child's development and welfare."
To achieve an appropriate and comfortable environment, a low surface temperature radiant panel skirting board has been installed. The ThermaSkirt provides a gentle and energy efficient heat, all around the children's play areas and bathroom facilities.
