Having renovated their family home, dating from the 1850sā€™, David & Pamela Reynolds from Pytchley, Northamptonshire, were concerned about the type of heat emitter that they could use with their Air Source Heat Pump. Digging up and replacing all their floors was clearly not an option and oversized radiators would have destroyed the look of the house. The 8" Regency OG profile perfectly suited the period look they were keen to retain and the additional heat output of the larger profile helped with the performance of their 14kw heat pump.

We saw a small demonstration unit and decided to take a risk, having already dispensed with a boiler. ThermaSkirt is heating the house on the air source (heat pump) only; even when it was -14°C outside the whole house stayed comfortably warm.

The ThermaSkirt skirting heating gives an even heat throughout the room, has the ability to react as quickly as radiators and does not act as a storage heater like under floor heating. It also allows us to put furniture anywhere we like and we can have floor length curtains without the risk of pumping heat out of the windows.

To me it is a "no-brainer", whether new build or up-dating any property to fit ThermaSkirt skirting heating and I certainly would never use anything else.
