Installing the ThermaSkirt-e system is pretty straight forward; after an electrician has taken a power supply to the switch fused spur the rest can be carried out by a competent self‐builder or tradesman using the detailed instructions provided.
The power supply from the switched fused spur to the control unit has to be installed by a Qualified Electrician, in accordance with Part P regulations (applies to the UK – see your local regulations if outside the UK) and needs to be fed from a RCD protected consumer unit.
Once this has been done the installation is straightforward and can be carried out by any competent tradesman using the detailed instructions provided.
A chop saw (hacksaw suitable if only making a few cuts) will be required to cut the skirting down to the required lengths and we will supply a de-burring tool to chamfer the edge of the cable channels.
A pair of pliers/grips will also be needed to “fan out” the ends of the cable channel to protect it from future damage along with a UK standard 2 gang Plastic (can’t be metal) back box for the thermostat.
