The TherMiser TME 3E is our touchscreen, programmable room thermostat, ideal for applications where style, control and versatility are paramount.
The TME 3E can be used as an alternative to our standard mechanical TRV valve units, and allows the user to set the times and target temperature for each zone or room, for up to 6 time periods per day.
This maximises comfort and efficiency by only having the heating on when and where you want it through the day.
Designed to fit a standard UK back box mounting, the TME 3E is a stylish 86 x 86mm x only 14mm deep.
Compatible with both the conventional wet heating system, (using either a manifold or the individual VAL 012 control valves) or the new Electric Version; (using the TME 100 control interface) the TherMiser TME 3E is a perfect addition to the ThermaSkirt controls package.
The TherMiser TME 3E has a built in air sensor that measures the rooms temperature and calls for heat at the appropriate programmed time. When the target temperature is reached, the TME 3E either closes the 2 port control valve (wet system) or disconnects the power (electric system), controlling the room temperature to within ½ a degree.
The TME 3E also has an external temperature probe that can be used on its own to monitor air temperature from outside the room (bathroom for example), or in conjunction with the air sensor as an additional control such as the surface temperature of the skirting (Healthcare applications for example).
The unit is pre-configured with timings for a 5 day week + 2 day weekend for ease of installation – all that needs to be done is adjust the time so the unit knows when to turn on & off the heating. Once installed, in a matter of minutes all the time and temperature settings can be individually configured to provide the perfect tailor-made solution. The TME 3E has been specifically designed to work best with the ThermaSkirt heating system (wet or electric) and capitalise on its rapid response times and all around comfort. It will however control perfectly well any other wet or electric heating system (radiators, underfloor heating or panel heaters).
DiscreteHeat recommends that you utilise the standard time and temperature settings to begin with, and optimise them to your personal needs and lifestyle after a few days. The ideal settings for a Living Room are 22°C, bathroom 23°C, bedrooms, and hallways 18°C. You may find that you can set the settings ½ or 1°C lower than with a conventional radiator system. Each 1°C less on your thermostat can reduce your energy consumption by a factor of 10% (Source: DECC)
