We often consider the Germans to be superior to the Brits when it comes to design and engineering, but ThermaSkirt, designed and manufactured in Britain, is challenging those assumptions.
More and more German heating engineers & architects are turning on to the benefits ThermaSkirt can give the various projects they are working on.
The images below were taken using an infrared camera by Dieter Kaminski from Ruhbaum Haustechnik, based near Berlin.
Dieter makes a point of showing his clients a ‘before’ and ‘after’ image of ThermaSkirt with the average room temperature and more often than not, radiators. In these images, the client was concerned that ThermaSkirt wouldn’t heat the room sufficiently and insisted the radiator was left in as a ‘back up’ despite Dieters iniststance it wouldn’t be needed.
Judging by these images, taken on his Flir Imagaing thermal camera, you can see just how right Dieter was.
With an outside air temperature of -1°C and the radiator clearly OFF, the room temeprature shot up to a scorching 27°C in this demonstration, before the Thermostatic controls were adjusted.
The Urban LT is fitted on 3 walls, including two sections flat across the patio door areas using the heated threshold skirting and as you can see the room easily acheives a balmy 23°C.
After the recent cold snap, the client is so impressed, he has asked Dieter to come back – and remove the radiators...
